We pray with our deepest sympathies for those individuals and families impacted by the earthquake disaster on 11 March.
With our sincerest condolences for the lives lost in the catastrophe, we hope they may rest in peace.

On that day, we were up in the mountains of Osaka and had no clue about what was happening.
We made a business call to Tokyo, and it was then when we finally heard about the earthquake.
It took a while for the information to reach us to tell us the seriousness of the situation.
After that, we discussed what can we do to help.

First and foremost, "we will accept the animals that suffered the disaster".

We quickly began by getting ready for them by preparing a space for the animals to stay and planning a efficient way of transport for them.
We also have to think about the nuclear plant explosion and the traffic control.
There is so little we can do when the people aren't allowed to go back to their houses.
Furthermore, we must seek cooperators living in the east side of Japan.
We are willing to do anything we can to help.

When the Kobe earthquake happened, we also provided care for the animals that had to endure that disaster.
Nearly 450 cats and dogs were brought to us in the year it happened and the year after that.
Some of them went back to their homes, some of them found a new family and some of them passed away while living here.

We strongly believe in our motto, "Never perform any euthanasia".
We never kill the cats nor dogs we take in, and we look after them with great responsibility.

We remember that, during the Kobe earthquake, many people were worried about their pets since they couldn't bring animals to the refuge.
And many didn't know what to do when they couldn't take their pets with them to the temporary dwelling.

If you know anyone who suffered the earthquake and is anxious about their pets, please tell him/her to contact us.
We are asking this only to help the lives of animals and to reassure the disaster victims.

We are ready to accept the animals, please call us for their sake.
